Connect a client

You can connect over the hosted connector (sign in with Postbase, no API key) or run the local server with an API key. Both are set up from the Developers page in the app. The hosted MCP server speaks Streamable HTTP with OAuth, so most clients just need a URL:

Add a custom connector

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the URL above.

Authorize

Claude opens a Postbase sign-in page. Choose the workspace to authorize and approve. No API key is stored.

Use it

Ask your agent to list channels or schedule a post.

If you belong to more than one workspace, pick the right one on the consent screen — the connector is scoped to that workspace. You can revoke a connected app anytime under Developers → Connected apps.

For Cursor and VS Code, the Developers page generates a one-click deep link or a claude mcp add / code --add-mcp command with the same URL.

API key (local server)

Generate a key under Developers, then run the MCP server locally:

Your API key is shown once when created. Store it safely — you can rotate or revoke it under Developers, but you can’t view it again.
