# Quickstart

> Connect a channel and schedule your first post in a couple of minutes.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect a channel">
    Open [Channels](/using/channels) and connect at least one account — X,
    LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky, or Mastodon. You'll authorize
    Postbase to publish on your behalf; it only requests permission to post.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write a post">
    Go to the [Composer](/using/composer), pick your channels, and write your
    post. Add [media](/using/media), build a thread, or
    [generate an image](/ai/generate) with AI.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Schedule it">
    Pick a time and Postbase queues it. Leave the time empty to save a draft
    instead. Track everything on the [Calendar](/using/calendar).

  <Step title="(Optional) Wire up an agent">
    Add the [MCP connector](/mcp/connect) to Claude or Cursor and ask it to
    "schedule this thread for 9am to X and LinkedIn."
